Most international or global days are celebrated to create awareness and educate the community about topics of concern that needs global attention.
International days are occasions to educate the public on issues of concern, to mobilize political will and resources to address #globalproblems, and to celebrate and reinforce achievements of humanity on a global and national scale.
Today is the International #SocialJusticeDay and through the project #LAB4GE we wanted to point out how much is related social justice with #genderequality. Without Gender Equality there is no Social Justice and No Social Justice means No Human Rights.
In the Index Report 2019 of Social Justice in the EU and #OECD in a nutshell:
“With the onset of the economic and financial crisis, social justice has deteriorated – on average – in the OECD and EU countries surveyed by the SJI.1 While the Social Justice Index shows a slight but ongoing upward trend since economic recovery began in 2014, the overall score remains below the pre-crisis level. In addition, there are still striking discrepancies with regard to available opportunities to participate in society in the 41 countries surveyed.”
