Asfar started work on social entrepreneurship in 2013, through our first ever EU Youth in Action programme aimed at developing young Social Entrepreneurs.

Since then, we have delivered Strategic and Youth-focused programmes on developing both young social entrepreneurs and developing youth workers and wider educationalist skills in order to support their own communities’ young people.

This was widened further, when in 2019, Asfar launched its’ British Council DICE-funded SEDA programme which supported both young people and women to become Social Entrepreneurs in Egypt through learning about the UK Social Enterprise system and Creative Enterprises. Asfar also supported change in Egypt with a particular focus on Social Marginalisers (Patriarchal society).  To learn more about the SEDA project visit here.

And through our RESOLVE: Reconciliation for Development programmes, that supports young people to design and lead community-based social action in over 13 countries, Asfar is a leader in the creation of Social Entrepreneurship in Europe, MENA, the Balkans & the Caucasus.
