Traineeships & Internships
Asfar has delivered its in-house international Trainee, Internship and University consultancy scheme since 2018, as part of our youth and VET activities.
Generally, our international Traineeships and Internships focus on VET or MA work-based placement programmes focus on:
- Project Management
- Business Administration
- Learning and Development
- Team Leader
- Management
- Marketing
- Creative
- Youth Work
Asfar and our partners, also embed suitable formal training into our programmes, especially for Trainees, whereas for Interns it is wholly on-the-job learning.
For example:
In 2019, University student, Emir, joined Asfar for an international internship as part of his MA studies which required a work place training element.
For 3 months, Emir worked with our team based in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina on projects and financial management activities, incorporating a team leadership role in Uppsala, Sweden and London, UK as part of our wider learning activities.
Another example is:
Winchester University asked Asfar if we would offer a Consultancy placement with our Peacebuilding and Dialogue team, as part of David’s MA in Reconciliation and Peacebuilding. David, carried out an evaluative report on the RESOLVE: Network – Youth Conference in December 2020.
From 2022, Asfar intends to offer International work-based Traineeships.
