Youth for Coexistence – objectives

As the year comes to an end and the holiday season fills our feeds and conversations, it’s important to remember that coexistence doesn’t happen by chance — it’s built through participation, dialogue, and action.

Across Europe, young people are increasingly exposed to social intolerance and digital hate speech during the holiday period, when online spaces often become more active, emotional, and polarised. Youth for Coexistence (Y4C) responds to these challenges by empowering youth workers and young leaders with the tools and skills needed to turn online conflict into connection.

Coexistence is not passive.

It is learned, practiced, and led by youth — every month of the year, including during holidays and school breaks, when digital spaces play an even greater role in young people’s lives.

As we step into the new year, we remain committed to building a Europe where young people don’t just belong — they participate, lead, and shape the future together.
