Asfar aims to encourage contributors to consider a wide range of subjects connected to the Middle East. In the first edition of the e-Journal, contributions included Environmentalism is the Gulf States; Economic sanctions in Iran; Political tourism in the West Bank; the tales of a Traveller in north eastern Turkey; the Arab Spring in Oman; Hydro-politics in Yemen; Guerrilla warfare in Algeria; Alchemy in the Middle East; as well as many more.

Asfar’s Editors are always eager to connect with contributors and are currently interested in speaking to writers wishing to focus on the following genre: History; Art; Culture; Languages; Society; Geography; Politics; and many more.
